Dutch design solar award
During the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Studio Solarix won the 1st prize of the Solar Design Challenge 2016! Studio Solarix was one of the 3 finalists allowed to pitch their idea in the Mind the Step theater. The jury was very convinced of the product and the possibilities and impressed by how Solarix succeeds in combining the worlds of Solar and Design in a beautiful way.
The competition was organized for designers who can integrate solar cells in a functional way into all kinds of end products and was organized by Solliance in collaboration with HighTechXL, Holland Innovative and HighTech Plaza. The prize was awarded by Elphi Nelissen, dean of the TU / e and chairman of SER Brabant.
In addition to a cup and a nice amount of money, the prize consists of in-kind support from the organizing parties to further develop the product and bring it to the market.
It is a great honor for Studio Solarix to already be appreciated in this way for our product and our vision at this stage!
