Solarix, Solarix Concepts BV and the other legal entities affiliated with them in a group (Solarix) process information about people on a daily basis. Solarix always respects the privacy of the people about whom it receives information and treats this information strictly confidential. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data Solarix processes and for what purposes. We recommend that you read this statement carefully.

Personal data
Solarix processes different types of personal data for various purposes. Below we explain what personal data and purposes these are.

Execution of purchase and manufacturing agreements
To process and deliver your order, we need your name, home and delivery address, e-mail address, payment details, VAT number, telephone number. We also provide this billing and delivery address information to third parties, for example to delivery services. We only do this if it is necessary for the execution of a (purchase) agreement.

Services
In order to provide our various services, we need your name, email address, payment details, VAT number, telephone number, billing and delivery address. This way we can process your request, contact you, provide our services and keep you informed of the process. When necessary for our services, we provide your personal data to third parties who work for us as a subcontractor.

Application procedure
Solarix collects and processes data from applicants through personal contacts, by post, by e-mail, via the website and/or telephone conversations. We collect, among other things, the name, gender, contact details, motivation letters, information about the applicant's education level and work history.

Website
Depending on the services and functionalities you use on the Solarix website, we may process the following personal data:

  • First and last name

  • Company Name

  • Address data

  • phone number

  • E-mail address

  • IP address

  • Other personal data that you actively provide, for example when sending an e-mail to Solarix, in correspondence and by telephone.

  • Data about your activities and interactions on our website (for example requesting a download or registering for a webinar or demo academy)

  • Data about your surfing behavior on all kinds of websites (for example because this company is part of an advertising network)

  • Internet Browser and device

  • Acquisition conversations (permission is requested at the beginning of the conversation)


For what purposes Solarix processes your personal data

  • The promotion, sale and delivery of our services

Solarix only processes your personal data if it has been given permission to do so, if the processing is necessary for the execution of an agreement to which you are a party, if Solarix is legally obliged to do so, or if Solarix has a legitimate (commercial) interest, weighed up against your right to privacy.

How long Solarix stores personal data
Solarix does not store personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected:

  • If the processing is based on consent, as soon as you withdraw your consent or as soon as you otherwise indicate that you no longer wish to be informed about promotions, sales and deliveries or if you indicate that you no longer wish to receive a newsletter, we will delete your data as soon as possible.

Data that we process in order to reach you to provide our services will be kept for as long as is necessary for the proper performance of the services given the nature of the services.

Solarix does not retain personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to provide the services and support of our product, to carry out transactions you have requested, or for other essential purposes, such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving potential disputes and complying with our agreements. Because these needs may vary for different data types in the context of different products or services, actual retention periods may vary significantly.

Sharing personal data with third parties
Solarix may share your personal data with various third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, to support our services and activities and/or to comply with any legal obligation. Third parties are suppliers of products for efficient communication and business operations.
If necessary, we conclude a processing agreement with organizations that process your data on our behalf and Solarix checks whether the organization offers adequate privacy guarantees. Organizations within the EEA (the entire European Union plus Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) must comply with the GDPR from May 25, 2018. Solarix only works with organizations outside the EEA if this is in accordance with the GDPR. In other words, if an adequate level of security is guaranteed by the relevant organization committing to transfer and process all data in accordance with the General Contractual Clauses (SCC) between (organizations within) the EEA and non-EEA countries providing for the protection of European personal data in non-EEA countries.

Cookies
Solarix uses functional, analytical, marketing/tracking, social media and advertising cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. Cookies can be used to collect or store information about the website visit or about (the device of) the user.

Functional cookies - Solarix uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preference settings are remembered. These cookies are also used to ensure that the website works properly and to optimize it.

Google Analytics
Solarix uses Google Analytics. Supplier is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Services such as Google Analytics use analytical cookies (see above). With this data we can optimize our website, allowing Solarix to improve the user experience for visitors. To ensure your privacy we have:

  • entered into a processing agreement with Google. This stipulates that Google only acts as a processor when processing the personal data of our website visitors;

  • We have disabled data sharing with Google. For example, it is not possible for Google to use analytical information for other Google services;

  • we have anonymized the IP addresses for Google Analytics. This masks the last octet of the IP address;

  • we disabled the user ID. This makes it not possible for Google to link surfing behavior from different devices and multiple sessions.

Social media
External social media pages
We work with social media pages, where data is processed by us and the social media provider. This type of service allows direct external interaction with Solarix websites.

The respective social media providers adhere to data protection obligations towards you, such as information on data processing. You can contact them regarding your rights. This follows from the fact that such a provider has direct access to the relevant information about the social media pages and data processing. Of course you can also contact us if necessary. If necessary, we will forward your request to the relevant provider.

With regard to social media pages, we can communicate with you and offer you interesting information. We may collect additional information through comments, shared images, messages, and responses, which we then process to respond or contact you. If you use social media on different user devices, cross-device data analysis may take place. In addition, providers of social media pages may also use cookies and tracking technology to improve their services.

Data processing takes place with consent or for the purpose of answering user queries (Art. 6. 1 s.1.a or b GDPR) or on the basis of legitimate interest in improving the services, advertising and marketing activities and presentation to the outside world (Art. 6. 1 s.1.f GDPR).

Social media providers may process your data outside the EU/EEA (mainly: USA). The American companies Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn are each certified according to the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement. Since this Privacy Shield is not valid according to the European Data Protection Board (July 2020), we only work with suppliers outside the EU/EAA who transfer data according to the standard agreements approved by the European Commission.

Page Insights Facebook
Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA or Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). We use Page Insights to process statistical data from users of Facebook pages (see also the agreement at:

This means that data is processed in the form of so-called 'Page Insights', which are described in more detail at https://www.facebook.com/business/a/page/page-insights/. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to [email protected].

To ensure that the above request has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but no later than within four weeks.

How we protect personal data
At Solarix we take the protection of your data very seriously. We have taken all appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure or unauthorized changes. We do this, among other things, by protecting connections to and from our platform via cryptographic control measures (SSL/HTTPS).

Business partners of Solarix
If you have expressed an interest in using Solarix products or if you have otherwise asked Solarix to contact us, we may provide your name, email address, telephone number, and company name to one of our official partners in your country or region. They may then contact you regarding their local services. When we share data with our official partners, we require them to protect your personal data according to our standards. A processing agreement has been concluded with all official partners.
If our service providers are located in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you about the consequences of this situation in the description of the offer.
Your information may be shared with a parent company, subsidiaries, partnerships and/or other entities under common control.
