With the continued growth of our team in the Netherlands and beyond, we are pleased to welcome a new team member to Solarix.We are proud to introduce Silvester Filkorn, who joins us as International Account Manager and will contribute to further expanding our presence in the DACH region. With a strong background in building-integrated photovoltaics, Silvester combines technical expertise with a sharp understanding of architectural quality. He sees solar facades not merely as energy systems, but as design elements that shape the identity of a building.In his role, Silvester works closely with architects, facade partners and developers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, supporting projects while building long-term collaborations.We are pleased to have him on board and look forward to further strengthening our presence in the DACH region together. To get to know Silvester a little better, we asked him a few questions.

International Account Manager

What initially attracted you to Solarix and its solar façades? When I first discovered Solarix at Intersolar, it immediately stood out for the originality and quality of its design. An open and curious conversation with Reinier confirmed that this is a place where creativity and innovation truly matter. Seeing solar panels  as architectural design elements rather than pure technology really resonated with me. As International Account Manager with a focus on the DACH region, what will be your main priorities? My main focus is on supporting the many ongoing projects in the DACH region and building long-term relationships along the way. I work closely with architects, facade contractors, developers, building owners and facility managers to understand their needs and find the right solution for each project. Sharing experience and knowledge through projects, events or conversations is a natural part of my role. What excites you most about representing Solarix in the DACH region? What excites me most are the conversations with people who care about architecture, sustainability and innovation. The DACH region is diverse in many ways, and I enjoy engaging with different planning cultures and architectural approaches. Being able to contribute to buildings that generate clean energy while adding aesthetic value is highly motivating for me. I also enjoy discussing how BIPV facades can make sense not only environmentally, but economically. What makes working at the intersection of design, technology and sustainability interesting to you? For me, these three aspects are inseparable. Design speaks to the eye, technology to the mind and sustainability to our sense of responsibility. At Solarix, this balance feels very natural both in the products and in the people behind them which makes the work especially meaningful. What do you see as the biggest challenges and opportunities in scaling solar design in the DACH region and beyond? The DACH region has high expectations when it comes to quality, performance and design, which can be challenging but also very motivating. While different building regulations can add complexity, our experience from international projects and references such as Hotel Laudinella in St. Moritz shows that, with commitment and collaboration, solutions can always be found. And finally, what gives you energy outside of work? I recharge most when I spend time in inspiring places whether through architecture, culture or nature and allow myself to slow down. Being active with friends, playing tennis, street skating and laughing together are also important sources of energy for me.

Since mid-November 2025, Anouk Wilmering has been part of the Solarix team as Technical Account Manager. Having fully settled into her role, this is the perfect moment to officially introduce her as a familiar and trusted face for our partners. Anouk brings over 20 years of experience as an architect at several leading architecture firms. This background gives her in-depth technical knowledge of buildings and facades, which she now applies in guiding architects, developers and contractors in the integration of high-quality, design-driven solar facades. As Technical Account Manager, Anouk translates architectural ambitions and technical challenges into well-considered, practical and buildable solar facade solutions. Her architectural mindset enables her to bridge aesthetics, technology and sustainability, ensuring that solar energy becomes a natural and integral part of the building envelope. What attracted Anouk to Solarix was the company’s solution-oriented approach and its strong focus on collaboration. “Solarix truly listens to its partners and works together to find solutions — even when a question initially seems impossible,” she explains. “That mindset, combined with the aesthetic quality of the solar panels, is what makes Solarix unique.” In her role, Anouk focuses on supporting projects from the early design stages onwards, acting as the connecting link between sales and operations. By doing so, she helps teams arrive at smart, feasible and future-proof facade solutions. To get to know Anouk a little better, we asked her a few questions.

Technical Account Manager

What initially attracted you to Solarix and its solar facades? The combination of aesthetics and sustainability immediately stood out to me. Solarix genuinely listens to architects, developers and contractors and works collaboratively to meet their ambitions. Even when a challenge initially seems unfeasible, there is always a strong drive to find a solution. That enthusiasm and openness is what makes me enjoy working here. What will you mainly focus on in your role as Technical Account Manager? In the early stages of projects, I work closely with architects, developers and contractors to understand their technical challenges and translate them into workable solutions. By using my knowledge, experience and solution-oriented approach, I act as the link between sales and operations and help guide projects towards smart, achievable outcomes. How do you see Solarix’s role in the energy transition of the built environment? Solarix accelerates the energy transition by developing solar panels that are both efficient and aesthetically appealing. Because the panels enhance the architectural quality of a facade, clients are more inclined to choose solar facades as a finishing material. This makes solar energy a more natural part of urban architecture and helps make the transition both attractive and achievable. What makes working at the intersection of design, technology and sustainability interesting to you? With my background as an architect, I bring both a strong sense of aesthetics and in-depth technical knowledge of facades. Being able to combine these two worlds — and contribute directly to accelerating the energy transition — is incredibly motivating and rewarding. What are you most looking forward to in your work at Solarix? I am looking forward to expanding the Solarix network and collaborating with partners to realise even more innovative, energy-generating facades. What do you see as the biggest challenge in scaling up solar design in the Netherlands and beyond? The biggest challenge is awareness. It is important to show that Solarix façades are both beautiful and functional. They help distribute energy generation in times of grid congestion, support meeting BENG and GPR requirements, and create space on rooftops for installations or greenery. This turns the facade into an integrated, architectural and energy-producing part of the building. What gives you energy outside of work? Spending time with friends and family, walking in nature and going camping — preferably all combined during a weekend away.
